About Hannah

Hannah has worked and lived around animals her whole life. After completing her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Hartpury College in 2013 she went to work full time in a local animal shelter, where she worked for 5 years with hundreds of rescue dogs and other animals, all with various behavioural issues and temperaments.

The idea for a local and affordable pet care and dog walking service came from the lack of professionals in this field in Tewkesbury and the surrounding areas, it would take a lot to find somewhere for her young, rescue Border Collie to go and realised many people must have this problem when they are working and don't want to leave the pet alone all day.

This is where 'Active Animals' was born, a reliable, flexible, professional dog walking service, Hannah is extremely active and walks for many hours a day in the local countryside with her own 4 dogs, and is also a run leader of a local canicross group -a sport that she lives and breathes for!

Over the years Hannah has owned many different pets, and has an extensive knowledge and love for all things animal particularly canine! She currently has 4 dogs (3 rescues Ernie- Collie, Rocket - Lurcher and Willow - Sprocker all with a tale to tell) and latest addition Indi the Greyster. As well as her own dogs Hannah also handles racing sled dogs for British Dryland Champion Vickie Pullin.

In 2021 Hannah started a mentorship programme with Phoenix K9 Training to develop her dog training knowledge, she hopes to add training services to the business over the next few months specialising in high energy dogs who will benefit from more structure, training and teaching  how cani-sports and an outlet can help. Hannah is also a Canicross coach and an Ambassador for K9 Trail Time.

In 2017 Jo joined the team to help Active Animals grow,  along with a new van allowing the business to expand and offer a wider range of services, Jo owns spud the Jack Russell, she has a huge knowledge on terriers and has a passion for fresh and raw feeding,
